Mirandola returns to its roots with Italian Renaissance masters Orlando di Lasso, Claudio Monteverdi, Andrea Gabrielli and lesser-known delights.

We’ll let our imaginations take flight in a program based around bird song. 

Vocal and instrumental chamber works from the medieval through the baroque eras feature brilliant music by Rameau, De Bousset, Vaillant, Lawes, Scarlatti, Biber, and more. You’ll hear me at the harpsichord presenting a hilarious depiction, not of bird song, but of hen pecking.

Again, the recipient of a City of Saint Paul Cultural Star grant, our program includes selections from Monteverdi's stunning Selva Morale e Spirituale - “Moral and Spiritual Forest”. It is one of my all-time favorite baroque works. You’ll hear stunning singing and a great baroque band of instruments.

Lyra Baroque begins its season with Judith Steenbrink leading the orchestra in works by Telemann and others. This season is dedicated to programs by candidates to become the new artistic director of Lyra Baroque, now in it's 40th season.

Joyeaux Noël! A French Baroque Christmas is an annual event.
